When Truro Council sought to address significant structural challenges in a series of seven houses, they turned to ASRS, partnering with Wall Coatings Ltd to deliver a robust solution. This large-scale project involved extensive repairs across multiple properties, showcasing our commitment to quality and efficiency.

The seven houses in Truro were facing serious issues, including widespread cracking and wall tie failure. With the integrity of these homes at stake, it was essential to restore their structural stability while ensuring minimal disruption to the residents.
ASRS’s Comprehensive Structural Repair Strategy
In response to the council’s needs, we developed a comprehensive repair strategy that included:
- Masonry Reinforcement: We installed Helibar stainless steel reinforcing to effectively distribute structural loads and stabilise existing cracks across all elevations..
- Wall Tie Replacement: ASRS team conducted thorough surveys to identify failing wall ties, followed by the installation of new Helifix Dryfix wall ties to ensure secure connections between the external and internal masonry.
- Concrete and Crack Repair: We meticulously removed damaged concrete and applied high-performance Natcem 35 repair mortar. Additionally, we treated existing cracks with specialised thixotropic grout for long-lasting stability.
